Terms of Service

1. What Qayed Is

Qayed is a barter-exchange platform. Users list items they own — products, services, knowledge, education, digital assets, experiences, businesses, or real estate — and request to swap them with listings from other users. No cash changes hands for the exchange itself; the only fee in the Service is the commission described in Section 4.

Qayed is a facilitator, not a party to any exchange. The agreement to swap, and the exchange itself, is between the two users involved. Qayed does not own, inspect, or take title to any listed item.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and must meet the minimum age required by the laws of your country. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

3. Your Listings & Conduct

When using Qayed, you agree that you will:

• Only list items or offers you genuinely own or are authorized to exchange, and describe them honestly and accurately.
• Not list anything illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law or by Qayed's content guidelines.
• Not impersonate another person, create a fake account, or misrepresent your identity.
• Not attempt to defraud another user, manipulate reviews, or otherwise act in bad faith during an exchange.
• Not share your phone number, address, or other off-platform contact details in chat before both sides of a specific swap have agreed to it and paid their commission — this protects both users until the exchange is genuinely confirmed.

4. Commission & Payments

The only fee in the Service is a 1% commission, charged separately to each side of a completed exchange, calculated on the value of that side's own listed item.

The commission is charged only once both sides have agreed to a specific swap and are completing it. Sending requests, chatting, and negotiating are always free.

Commission can be paid by card or from your Qayed wallet balance, processed through Paymob, our payment gateway. Once both sides have paid their commission, each side's contact details unlock automatically inside that conversation.

Qayed does not currently offer, and this Service does not include, any paid subscription, credits currency, or paid listing-boost/advertising service.

5. Referral Program

If you invite a friend to Qayed and they complete their first paid exchange within one month of joining, you receive 50% of the commission they paid, credited to your own Qayed wallet balance. Referral rewards are credited as wallet balance, not as any other currency or subscription benefit, and are subject to change or discontinuation with notice.

6. Identity Verification

Identity verification is optional and free. If you choose to verify, we manually review the documents you submit, and a verified status is shown on your profile as plain text only — Qayed does not use a badge or checkmark icon to indicate verification.

7. Prohibited Conduct & Enforcement

We may warn, suspend, or permanently disable any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraud, harasses other users, repeatedly fails to honor agreed exchanges, or otherwise abuses the Service. We may remove listings or content that violate these Terms or applicable law.

8. Disputes Between Users & Limitation of Liability

Qayed does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or condition of any listed item, nor the accuracy of any listing. You are responsible for evaluating what you are exchanging for before agreeing to a swap.

Disputes that arise between users after an exchange has been completed — for example, over the condition of an item received — are between those users and are outside the scope of the app. We encourage users to resolve such disputes directly, and we may assist with investigating reports of fraud or abuse, but we are not a party to the exchange and do not arbitrate quality disputes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qayed is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or from any exchange between users.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. When you do, your personal identifying data is scrubbed and anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy, and your login is permanently disabled. A de-identified record of past exchanges, chats, and payments may be retained for legitimate record-keeping and to preserve the other party's history of a shared trade.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date below, and where changes are material, we will provide notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
